Another question that is asked us, more often than not. The medias’ representation of the “Market” is still generally dismal. But, real estate is LOCAL. “Local” is defined as the area you are interested in. I hosted an Open house this past weekend in Pleasanton, in which there were 18 visitor groups. Only one of these visitors was a neighbor who was just curious. The other 17 were people interested in buying a home. Two of those people were interested in that particular home and were able to make an offer. This does not sound to me like a “dismal” market. And this home was priced at over $1M. Our local market is doing well for the times and well for real estate in general. Remember that the current and valid market condition information is available from a local, knowledgeable, and dedicated real estate agent.
